Jennifer Leute


Jennifer Leute is a Principal Engineer in the Accident Consequence Modeling and Analysis department, where she is the Program Manager for MACCS. She joined Sandia in 2015 in the Ballistic Missile Weapons Surveillance Department, became the Weapon System Lead Engineer for the W76-1, and held the position of department manager for the W88 ALT 370 Arming, Fuzing, and Firing Subsystem (AF&F) development and production. Prior to joining Sandia, Jennifer served in the United States Air Force as an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Operator on active duty and later as a Scientist in the United States Air Force Reserves where she focused on solid rocket motor technology, laser systems, and satellite systems. Jennifer graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and from Pennsylvania State University with her Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering. Jennifer is currently enrolled as a part-time student at the University of New Mexico to earn her PhD in Nuclear Engineering.
